This is an established steel fabrication business on the Gold Coast with a long-standing presence in the industry.

The workshop delivers fabricated steel products for commercial, residential and industrial building projects, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, practical solutions and reliable project delivery.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Project Manager / Estimator to manage projects from initial estimating through fabrication and final delivery.

You will liaise directly with customers, review drawings, prepare estimates, coordinate workshop requirements and oversee project progress through to completion.

This role will suit someone with strong hands-on knowledge of steel fabrication who understands how projects move through a workshop environment.
Salary: $115k - $130k + Super

Requirements for this role
  • 7+ years' experience within a steel fabrication workshop
  • Strong experience managing steel fabrication projects
  • Estimating experience using Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret workshop and fabrication drawings
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and project requirements
  • Experience dealing directly with customers and managing project expectations
  • Boilermaker or fabrication trade background highly regarded
  • Good computer skills and comfortable working across estimating and project systems
