As a result, an opportunity has emerged for an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of a nationally significant product category and play a key role in shaping future growth.
About the role This is not a traditional Category Manager position.
This is a highly commercial role where you'll influence strategy, drive growth initiatives, work directly with senior leadership and collaborate with leading technology manufacturers and industry stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for developing business plans, identifying market opportunities, building strategic relationships and supporting the continued growth of a specialist technology portfolio across Australia.
The role combines elements of Category Management, Product Management, Business Development, Supplier Management and Commercial Strategy.
Key responsibilities include: - Drive category growth, revenue and market share
- Develop and execute commercial business plans
- Build relationships with consultants, specifiers and industry influencers
- Work closely with suppliers on growth initiatives and market strategy
- Identify new opportunities, applications and market segments
- Support sales teams with product knowledge and market expertise
- Deliver presentations, training sessions and industry engagement activities
- Monitor market trends and provide strategic recommendations
