I am interested in pursuing a role as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer with a focus on the maintenance field, specifically in industries that involve shutdown work and Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) opportunities. I am eager to apply my technical knowledge to ensure the reliability and safety of mechanical systems while managing resources effectively during critical shutdown periods.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, playing football, and drawing. Traveling allows me to explore different cultures and recharge, while football keeps me physically fit and enhances my teamwork skills. Drawing provides an outlet for my creativity and attention to detail.
I particularly enjoyed subjects that combined theoretical knowledge with practical application. Engineering Innovation and Ethics allowed me to explore ethical implications, while Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing and Advanced Mechanical Design enhanced my design skills through hands-on experience. Additionally, Principles of Industrial Maintenance aligned with my interest in maintenance engineering, and Engineering Management focused on developing essential leadership skills.
I have hands-on experience in shipbuilding maintenance and project management from my role as an Apprentice Engineer at Insulmech Marine and Mechanical Engineering Services. I conducted QA/QC tests, managed resources, and ensured compliance with project specifications. Additionally, my customer service roles have honed my communication skills, making me a well-rounded candidate for engineering positions.
