I am interested in a cadet or junior role as a contract administrator, project coordinator, project manager, construction estimator, quantity survey, or any other relevant role in the industry.

What are your interests outside of work?

I like catching up with friends, trying out new eateries, going for a hike or road trip, and learning to play the piano outside work.

What did you enjoy about the subjects you studied?

I enjoyed the sense of fulfillment I felt each time after I finished a measurement assignment (whether it was on dimension papers or in Buildsoft); I enjoyed generating the final bills of quantities for given projects and learning how to estimate; I enjoyed learning about the contractual obligations of parties involved in a contract and how to administer a contract; I enjoyed developing a complete project management plan with the use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office suite for a virtual project, and presenting it to my supervisor as if I were a project manager already; I enjoyed learning how to interpret drawings, and knowing the builidng processes; I enjoyed being informed of the laws and regulations involved in the development planning and assessment processes and how important knowing them can be; I enjoyed learning about new technologies such as BIM, and exploring innovative building materials; ... I enjoyed being enabled through learning.
