About the role

An opportunity exists for a Senior Hydraulic Designer to take ownership of hydraulic and fire services design delivery across medium to large scale building projects. This role is suited to an experienced Hydraulic Designer who enjoys technical leadership, complex problem solving and close collaboration with engineers, project managers and external stakeholders.

You will lead the design and documentation of hydraulic and fire systems, manage allocated work packages, support construction delivery and provide guidance to junior designers and drafters.

The role also involves direct client engagement, authority liaison and contributing to project planning from tender through to construction support.

This position offers variety, responsibility and the chance to influence design outcomes while working on technically interesting projects.

Requirements for this role
  • Hydraulic Design or equivalent qualification
  • 7+ years experience in Australian building services
  • Revit and/or AutoCAD for hydraulic documentation
  • Strong experience designing hydraulic and fire services systems including water, sanitary, stormwater, wastewater and fire
  • Solid working knowledge of Australian Standards
  • QBCC Hydraulic Licence or the ability to obtain
  • Confidence engaging with clients, authorities and site teams.
  • Ability to mentor others.
