The company

This engineering consultancy is capturing increasing market share with their unique offering in the sustainable façade and structural engineering space – they are well positioned for expansion and seek an experienced Senior Façade Engineer for a client facing role – joining a company of 85 staff, we need someone to inherit a small, very experienced team (5) and expand it (to 10) over the next three years.

The role

Working with major developers and architects, a role has been created at Façade Lead level – someone to lead a team of five engineers on highly recognisable commercial projects in and around Sydney. The role involves liaising with clients, managing projects, represent the company at meetings, give technical guidance and contribute to the business development function as an evangelist (not a rain-maker).
  
You will be involved in and will head up a range of highly visible large scale projects from concept to completion and will have the chance to boost your market profile along the way.

The requirements
  • A background in Façade or Structural Engineering
  • Experience in Façade / Building Envelope / Curtain Wall design 
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • The desire and drive to mentor, manage and grow a team
