I’m interested in client facing engineering roles such as field engineer, applications engineer, service engineer, or technical/sales engineer. I’m drawn to positions that combine hands on technical work with communication, site involvement, and direct interaction with clients. I particularly enjoy roles that involve translating technical requirements into practical solutions and working across engineering, commercial, and customer facing teams rather than being confined to a purely office based role.
My strengths lay in my ability to communicate technical information clearly and adapt to different environments and people. I’m comfortable explaining complex concepts in a practical and straightforward way, whether I’m speaking with engineers, possible clients, or non technical stakeholders. I have a solid mechanical engineering foundation, and I combine this with strong problem solving skills and a calm, methodical approach under pressure. I work well in dynamic, real world settings, including site-based or client-facing environments, where priorities can change and clear communication is essential.
I enjoy activities that allow my mind to switch off physically while helping me think more clearly and process situations more effectively. These include running, outdoor rock climbing, CrossFit, and playing chess. Running and CrossFit help me reset mentally and maintain focus and discipline, while outdoor rock climbing challenges problem-solving under real conditions and requires calm decision-making and trust in both preparation and judgement. Chess complements this by sharpening strategic thinking and patience. These activities help me stay grounded, mentally adaptable, and balanced, this carries through into how I approach problem-solving, communication, and decision making at work.
I enjoyed the opportunity my university classes and subjects provided to learn the complex and technical aspects of engineering while also applying those skills to simulated real-world situations, including client interaction. Many subjects offered valuable insight into what a career in those fields could involve, particularly in balancing technical problem solving with practical and communication based requirements.
